About

Hi! Mindy here! Let me take you on a little journey of how Bridgeport Homestead made its way. I have been riding and showing horses ever since I can remember. My first ride was in my grandpa's lap at a shy young age of six months! My family primarily rode and showed quarter horses and mules. I think my childhood "dream" was to become a veterinarian. Fast forward to my senior year in high school, I decided to join the military. My "dream" then shifted from vet school to making it to the top in the military. Phew, how little did I know. God had much bigger plans for me. I met my husband in the military in 2014. I am so thankful for experiences, friends, family and overall work ethic that the military had given me. In 2017, I was saved. Saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and His work on the cross. God sent his Son to die for my sins and to rise again victoriously defeating death! I pray everyone comes to know that love from God the Father. Wow- everything I knew and wanted drastically changed. Of course, there is a whole sanctification process. If you know, you know. My husband and I moved to our small, 5 acre, property in 2018. With a love for horses, we decided to share the riding experience with others. It's really too good to keep to ourselves. Learn to be confident, overcome fear, set and respect boundaries, the value of a hard day's work and so much more. Note, that none of that is truly possible without help from the Lord. Now, 5 years later, we have not only expanded our operation but our family too with our daughter Mabel, 3, a child growing up with Jesus, and our son, Caiden born in October of '22. In 2020, after my daughter was born, I was diagnosed with a couple autoimmune disorders. I think this may have been when my mindset truly changed from "making it to the top" to my calling to be a wife and mother at home. While I'm not there yet, I pray that God makes a way. In the meantime, I will continue sharing a piece of my heart with others and do the next thing that God calls me to. Really, All Glory to God. When you visit us, I pray that we can encourage you or your children to be confident, fearless and hard working. Prayerfully, we look forward to continuing to expand with a garden market and farm fresh chicken eggs some day. In the meantime, we hope you will join us for a ride.

My Family

Meet my husband, Camryn, and my children, Mabel and Caiden. When you visit, you will likely find my husband doing odd jobs around the property. Mabel will be running around playing, begging to ride her horses. And Caiden, well he'll likely be crawling - trying to keep up with big sis!

Impact

My father passed away in 2012 - my heart was shattered. He taught me a lot about making a difference and standing your ground when the going got tough. He was someone I truly admired. I was a daddy's girl, through and through. He taught me how to drive just about anything and one of my fondest memories was being picked up from daycare to drive the tractor and bale hay while he stacked the wagon. My mama suffered from real heartbreak for the rest of her life until she passed away unexpectedly just 10 days before my daughter was born. I know a little about a lot but one thing I know for sure is that Jesus has saved me from the misery, depression and heartache that comes from losing your parents. I pray that my experiences and testimony will encourage you to know that there is a way to true peace and comfort - through God the Father and His gift of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ and his work on the cross.

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ-by grace you have been saved-and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show us immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith.

Ephesians 2: 4-8
